Because we love making movies… This was the first time I worked in a larger art department, and it was incredible to learn so much from everyone on the team. Mainly I learned that it’s amazing to have a researcher. While lead graphics were created by the incredible Tina Charad, I got to geek out on the details in the background and worked frequently with the set dec team to deal with covering multiple blocks of Hollywood and Westwood with period-specific graphics. Bonus points that our offices were in the old Saul Bass & Associates buildings. OUATIH premiered in May 2019 at the Cannes Film Festival and won the 2020 ADG Award for Excellence in Production Design, Period Film and the Academy Award for Best Production Design.
