ASSORTED WORK.
SITUATIONS
Situations is a short film written/directed/starring Greg Vrostsos. Greg was looking for a Cassavettes-esque vibe and we happily landed here. Situations premiered at Brain Dead Studios Fairfax in February 23, but perhaps we’ll see more soon. ©2023 All Rights Rain Dogs.
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOON
Teamed up with dear friend and one of my favorite prop masters, Pola Shreiber, to create a book cover for her self-published novel “The Other Side of the Moon.” The final cover is on the left, but I had fun making some more graphic covers in my earlier rounds – a sampling on the right. Pola wanted to show the dichotomy between the worlds of her main character’s homeland of Russia and the world of Hollywood. ©2023 All Rights Pola Shreiber. Available on Amazon.
I SURVIVED BEAR GRYLLS
I took another dip into competitive reality, this time on I Survived Bear Grylls. I’m not really outdoorsy, so I had no idea who this wild survivalist was before Art Director Ryan Suchor brought me onto this gig to create a faux mountain, game signage and more. Show logo was provided. Art directed by Ryan Suchor (JP Connelly) ©2023 All Rights Warner Bros. Discovery
RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE S14 FINALE
It was truly an honor to have anything to do with Willow Pill’s iconic performance of “I Hate People” at the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 finale – reworking some Getty stock illustrations to create our perfect emojis. I also made some other fun props for interstitials and performances for the other Lady Camden, Bosco and Angeria Paris VanMichaels. It was only a slight bummer that I was a little bit spoiled for the final four queens. Art directed by Ryan Suchor (JP Connelly) ©2022 World of Wonder / Stock Photos: Getty
RUPAUL’S secret celeb DRAG RACE S2
It was so much fun getting to hop back into comedy and drag for a moment to make these punny Girl Scout cookie boxes and display. I didn’t have “drag meat display” on my graphics bingo card, but would happily make more anytime. Art directed by Ryan Suchor (JP Connelly) ©2023 World of Wonder / Stock Photos: iStock
THAT’S MY TIME WITH DAVID LETTERMAN
I was tasked with making a very faint, almost invisible vintage beer ad on a brick wall for the backdrop of Netflix’s That’s My Time with David Letterman… and, well, mission accomplished! The final graphic is not super visible on screen (or my screen anyway). Oh well! The original graphic is on the bottom with an example of how to distress for the scenic above. EUPHORIA S2 NEON
I did not work on Euphoria, but I did notice a familiar face when I was watching the first episode of Season 2. I was surprised to see these neon eyes – which were blink-and-you’ll-miss neon on the wall of the Fan-Tan exterior on Glow S3 – receive a starring second life featured in the opening scenes of the season two premiere outside of a strip club. And beautifully shot, as well. If only I got residuals. ©2023 All Rights HBO.
